Privacy Policy

OVERVIEW

Nockd ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-assisted archery scoring app. Improving that AI is a core part of how the app works, so the target photos and shot data you create are used both to score your shooting and to train our scoring models. This is described in full below and is a condition of using Nockd. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. Nockd is currently offered in the United States.

DATA WE COLLECT

• —Email address: Used to create and manage your account.
• —Display name and bow type: Optional profile information you choose to provide.
• —Target photos: Photos you take to score an end. Used to generate your scores and to train our AI scoring models (see “Training our AI”).
• —Shot annotations: The arrow positions, bullseye positions, and target geometry you place or confirm, including corrections to the AI’s guesses. Used for scoring and model training.
• —Camera and device metadata: Technical capture settings (device model, image dimensions, camera exposure). Your location (GPS) is removed from every photo before it is uploaded.
• —Scoring data: Arrow scores, session history, and usage statistics tied to your account.
• —Purchase history: Subscription status managed via RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• —To provide AI scoring of your archery targets.
• —To train and improve our AI scoring models (see “Training our AI”).
• —To save and display your session history.
• —To enforce usage limits and manage your subscription.
• —To generate shareable session links when you choose to share.

TRAINING OUR AI

Nockd's scoring is powered by an AI model that we continually improve. Contributing to that improvement is a condition of using Nockd — when you use the app, the target photos you take, the arrow and bullseye positions you place, and your camera settings are used to train our scoring models. There is currently no opt-out.

Before any photo is uploaded, we remove your location (GPS). Photos and annotations are processed by our AI training provider, Roboflow, to build our models. This data is never sold and is never used for advertising.

If you do not agree to your target photos and shot data being used to train our AI, do not create an account or use the app.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• —Supabase: Database, authentication, and photo storage provider. Data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
• —Roboflow: AI training provider. Processes your target photos and shot annotations to train our scoring models on our behalf.
• —RevenueCat: Handles subscription purchases and entitlement management. Subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• —Google Play: App distribution and subscription billing. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

DATA RETENTION

On the free plan, your sessions and target photos are kept for 90 days and then deleted, including the stored images. On a paid plan, they are kept until you delete them or close your account. You may delete your account at any time (see "Your rights").

YOUR RIGHTS

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below, or via our Delete Account page.

When you delete your account, we remove your photos and shot data from our systems and remove your contributed images from our training dataset. Copies that have already been used to train a released AI model cannot be individually removed from that model, but we exclude your data from all future training.

CHILDREN

Nockd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
